Events and Shows
Please find below a list of upcoming shows and events that I will be attending, I’ll be adding more as they are booked. It will be great to see you all there.

Glanton Show
For more information, there’s a website here. It’s best to visit the facebook page, it’s very active and has a lot more information. This year is the 100th show, which makes it just a bit more special and probably even busier. It’s now located on the right hand side as you drive into Glanton from the A697 and easily visible.

Simonside Country Fair
If Glanton Show wasn’t enough, then Simonside Country Fair makes for a great weekend. The fair opens at 11:00am for parking and some events, but it really gets going with the Rothbury Highland Pipeband in the main ring at 12:00 noon. There’s a facebook page with more details and information.

Thropton Show
This is the show I always go, it’s always a great day out. Last year there was a craft tent the first time, so I had a stand and I’m back again this year, very much looking forward to it. I didn’t manage to get out and take many photos, but there’s plenty here. There’s a website, a facebook page, there’s even instagram.

Alwinton Show
The last show of the season and it’s best to get here early, it’s very popular and well attended. There’s only two roads in, they soon get busy and traffic backs up. The wifi for taking payments has worked seamlessly over the last few years, I would still advise bringing cash though, just in case. I’ll be in the craft tent, hopefully in my usual spot, top left from the entrances. There’s a website here and there’s also a facebook page too.

Christmas Market
The annual Thropton Village First School Christmas shopping night has not only moved to Thropton Village Hall, but has now become more of a Christmas Market style event on a Saturday morning. It’s always a favourite and lots of fun, I’m very much looking forward to it.

Amble WI Autumn Craft Fair
Amble WI are holding this craft show and if it’s anything like my like my first show in the Spring, it’ll be worth getting in early. There’s also lots to see and do on the busy quayside, all makes for a great day out.

Upper Redesdale Show
A traditional sheep show, situated in the Bremium Roman Fort. Sheep judging starts about 11:00am and it’s certainly worth getting in before it starts. There’s a Facebook page for more info and details, mainly active closer to the show.

Amble WI Cake and Craft
Amble WI are holding this cake and craft sale. Another first for me this year, but there’s cake and it’s a bank holiday weekend. Here’s a link to the Amble WI facebook page.
