I bought a box of Kodak Tri-X 400, it’s quite an expensive film, but as it was on offer, I couldn’t resist. It’s known for it’s beautiful grain, tonality and perfect contrast. So I loaded a roll into my Mamiya 7, with a 50mm lens and headed out to Holystone Woods, one of my favourite places. It was a bright and beautiful Winter’s morning and perfect for the composition I had in mind. Once I developed and scanned the film, I ordered another two boxes.
