The valley of the Usway Burn is a favourite of mine. I’ve been coming here for many years and one of my photographs from just above won a Northumberland National Park photography competition. So I know that if I want to get some practice, especially with large format, there’s nowhere better. There’s quite a process with large format, setting up and levelling the camera, attaching the lens and lots more before taking a photograph. I’ve learned to just relax and just go with the process and coming here, with just sheep for company, certainly helps.
