Having spent many a summer evening walking in the hills of Upper Coquetdale, I often wondered if the sun might set over Batailshiel Haugh. There was only one way to find out and I set off to a location where I’d taken a few photos previously. It was a bit breezy, but I set up in anticipation. I didn’t have to wait long, as the sun began to set, it filled the valley with light. Shooting towards the sun caused a few problems, but I managed to take one photo without any flare, which was all I needed. I entered this photo into a Northumberland National Park photography competition, it won!
